Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete inventory of cleaning supplies as directed by the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Clean frequently touched areas multiple times daily, to include doors, door handles, bathroom facets and dispensers.
  • Ensure building entrance glass doors are cleaned.
  • Ability to respond to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action
  • Spot wash walls
  • Restock kitchen with paper supplies, coffee, napkins and other resources.
  • Clean cafeteria, refrigerators, appliances, tables and mop lunch areas.  
  • Dust/clean furniture in lobbies, conference rooms
    • Clean offices as assigned.
    • Ensure lobbies are cleaned daily.
  • Maintain and clean restrooms to include; restocking of dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitize fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
  • Remove waste, empty trash and replace liners throughout company buildings
  • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies for employee use
  • Ensure paper products are properly stocked in restrooms, and cafeterias
  • Perform or assist outside service personnel with minor repairs of facilities as directed by Supervisor.
  • Perform light maintenance of janitorial equipment
  • Assist with office set up and movement of office furniture as needed.
  • Perform maintenance of grounds, including shoveling, salting walk ways, power washing and pulling of weeds. 
  • Notify Supervisor and/or HR about unsafe conditions, needed repairs, or maintenance required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Other various tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Have a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently, work effectively independently and  as a team
  • Ability to take direction
  • Maintain a strong work output and seek additional work if assigned work is completed.
  • Must have the ability to complete work outside or inside of buildings as assigned. 
  • Highly responsible & reliable


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
  • Fork lift experience a plus


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Be capable of wearing Personnel Protective Equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
