Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:       

  • Provide in-depth technical and practical advice to military, federal, state and local law enforcement personnel and agencies on Trijicon products.
  • Maintain knowledge of new Trijicon product developments and applications.
  • Keep informed of industry trends and products.
  • Support Trijicon’s ISO 9001:2000 Quality System by following established procedures and work instructions.
  • Be thoroughly knowledgeable in the proper execution of live fire arms training, to include weapons handling, Ranger Safety Officer tasks, and range control procedures.
  • Provide classroom and live-fire instruction on the proper application of Trijicon optics.
  • Conduct domestic and international training at venues throughout the world.
  • Assist on the preparation of Government Requests for Proposals (RFPs), solicitations, etc;
  • Develop courseware and courses of fire to assist in the presentation of training.
  • Conduct test and evaluation (T&E) on prototype optics and accessories.
  • Provide customer service on the telephone from the Business Development office in Virginia.
  • Contribute to Business Development Situation Reports, After Action Reports and critiques.
  • Participate in Domestic and International shows, conferences and expositions.
  • Work with designated Prime Vendors and GSA distributors.
  • Assist the Business Development Office in identifying potential optical requirements within each government agency.
  • Assist the Business Development Office in the identification of new product or enhancement features to existing Trijicon products to support the military and law enforcement market.
  • Assist the Trijicon Law Enforcement Technical representatives (TSG) as required.
  • Explore all efforts to maintain, penetrate and grow the military and law enforcement segments of Trijicon’s business.
  • Perform research and analyses of competitor products.  Provide expert opinion on optics companies and their emerging product lines.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:                       

  • Knowledgeable in the proper execution of live fire arms training, to include weapons handling, Range Safety Officer tasks, and range control procedures
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of all military small arms and tactics to include but not limited to,  M2/M2A1, M240/MK48, M249/MK46, MK19, M4, M9 and various other military weapon systems. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent written and oral presentations and briefs
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Dependable, reliable and honest
  • Knowledge of Trijicon products and their applications is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel extensively in the US and abroad
  • Valid/current US passport
  • Position in located at the Business Development Office; Stafford, VA

Education:              

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience as a small arms and tactics instructor
  • At least 4 years of experience in sales preferred
  • A solid understanding of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete standardized situations.
