Assistant Manager of Law Enforcement and Security Programs

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Forecast short and long-term goals using available data
  • Provide in-depth technical and practical advice to federal, state and local law enforcement personnel and agencies on Trijicon products.
  • Maintain knowledge of new Trijicon product developments and applications
  • Monitor trade journals to keep informed of industry trends and products
  • Support Trijicon’s ISO 9001:2000 Quality System by following established procedures and work instructions
  • Have in depth experience with the proper execution of live firearms training, weapons handling, Ranger Safety Officer Tasks, and range control procedures.
  • Provide classroom and live-fire instruction on the proper application of Trijicon optics
  • Develop courseware and courses of fire to assist in the presentation of training
  • Conduct LE demonstrations & training at venues throughout the country
  • Assist in the preparation of LE Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), solicitations, and contracts
  • Participate in the test and evaluation of prototype optics and accessories
  • Provide LE customer service in person, on the telephone and via e-mail
  • Complete weekly activities reports and monthly reports for the Law Enforcement Manager
  • Participate in Domestic LE shows, conferences, and expositions
  • Work with designated Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) and General Services Administration (GSA) distributors, and the Technical Support Group (TSG).
  • Assist the Law Enforcement Manager in identifying potential LE optical requirements
  • Assist the Law Enforcement Manager with the identification of new product or enhancement features to existing Trijicon products to support the LE market.
  • Complete weekly activity reports for the Vice President of Business Development
  • Verify and submit monthly reports
  • Manage the Trijicon Firearms Instructor Program
  • Maintain accountability and proper condition of Trijicon issued equipment.
  • Assist the Trijicon Law Enforcement Assistant Managers as required

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Currently holds or has held a General Instructor Certification for their law enforcement agency
  • Currently holds or has held a Firearms Instructor Certification for their law enforcement agency
  • Experience as a small arms and range safety instructor
  • Prior Business Development experience preferred
  • A solid understanding of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • A strong understanding of Computer Education and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)

Job Requirements:                       

  • A minimum of 10 years of federal or state law enforcement experience to include supervisory experience
  • Have experience and good working knowledge with agency and department procurement processes, budget requirements, and grant programs
  • Highly knowledgeable in the proper execution of live firearms training, weapons handling, Range Safety Officer tasks, and range control procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, with great work ethics
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing business models and organization structures
  • Ability to provide effective presentations and briefs
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Ability to provide customer service on the phone and in person
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Dependable, reliable, and honest
  • Knowledge of Trijicon products and their applications
  • Ability to travel extensively in the US
  • Flexibility to adapt to last minute travel  
  • Valid/current US passport
  • Live in Virginia
  • Valid/current driver’s license
  • Travel is expected for this position (40-50%)
