Job Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct payments are made to vendors in a timely manner. 
  • Work closely with other departments, i.e. purchasing and receiving, to investigate variances in receipt quantities and purchase price.
  • Analyze invoices for accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Reconcile the Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt clearing account and make appropriate adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using SAP a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Understanding of accounts payable functions
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time, multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to stay focused, and perform to expectations, in a remote setting
  • Strong ethics, integrity and qualities that inspire trust and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well at all levels of the Company
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of an interactive team

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 plus years in the accounting field
  • Knowledge of  ERP systems, SAP knowledge a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with complex problems involving a few concrete variables/details in variable situations.
