Trijicon ACOG TA44S-10 Optic of the Year

The Trijicon ACOG® TA44S-10 has received the 2010 NRA Golden Bullseye Award for "Optic of the Year" from Shooting Illustrated magazine. The NRA Golden Bullseye Awards are an acknowledgement of the finest quality new products available in the shooting sports. These products are evaluated and are voted on by a committee consisting of editors, art staff and veteran publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the firearms industry.

To qualify for consideration for an NRA Golden Bullseye Award, a product must meet the following criteria:
  • Product recently introduced and widely available to consumers in 2009
  • Used/tested by a staff member or regular contributor to the magazine
  • Reliable in the field, meeting or exceeding the evaluator's expectations
  • Innovation in design and function
  • Readily perceived as a value to the purchaser
  • Styled in a manner befitting the firearm industry and, perhaps more importantly, its enthusiasts
"All of us at Trijicon are delighted that our ACOG TA44S-10 has won the Golden Bullseye Award", said Tom Munson, Trijicon Director of Sales and Marketing. "We are honored that Shooting Illustrated has recognized our 'Stubby' ACOG as a great shooting optic for any shooting enthusiast. The ACOG is being widely used in the military and we hope this award will highlight its usefulness to the general consumer."

Wrapped in a smaller package, at 4.9 ounces, the ACOG TA44S-10 is perfect for fast-moving tactical teams operating in close quarters or for speed-oriented competition venues. This very compact model provides weapons like the M16/M4 with excellent fire control capability. Targets are easier and quicker to acquire because of the larger field of view (7.4 degrees) and eye-friendly design.

NRA Publications will present its annual Golden Bullseye Awards and Golden Bullseye Pioneer Award at an invitation-only breakfast during the 2010 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, May 13-18, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
