In April, the U.S. Marine Corps selected the Trijicon ACOG® 3.5x35 as its squad automatic-weapon day optic. The scope will mount on the M249 light machinegun to assist gunners in target detection, recognition and identification.
"We are proud to continue our relationship with the United States Marine Corps," said Tom Munson, Director of Sales and Marketing for Trijicon. "First, we supplied them with a 4x32 ACOG for every M16A4 and M4carbine in service, and now we will give them this new ACOG to improve their machine guns effectiveness."
The Trijicon ACOG® 3.5x35 provides lightning-fast target acquisition and superb optical clarity, offering shooters pinpoint accuracy. Daytime illumination is provided by fiber optics, and tritium illuminates the scope at night.
The gunsight joins a long list of Trijicon products selected by the U.S. Marines, Army Special Forces, Navy Seals and others whose missions depend on reliable optics and superior performance. For more information please visit the Department of Defense website here.
